Box House is leading the world into the next era of housing by delivering mass-produced, high-quality, sustainable, rapidly installable homes that cater to the diverse needs of individuals, businesses, and governments. We are a fast-growing team of 70+ people, and we are just getting started.

The Opportunity

We have HR foundations in place and a team that has worked hard to keep people operations running through a period of significant growth. What we need now is a dedicated HR leader who can take ownership of the function, build on what exists, identify what is missing, and mature our HR program to match where we are headed. This role has real breadth and long-term runway, with the expectation of growing a team as Box House scales.

Responsibilities
  • Own and develop HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs in alignment with federal, state, and local employment law
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across departments in support of rapid company growth
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end to end
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, handling sensitive workplace matters with discretion and sound judgment
  • Administer benefits programs including open enrollment and employee inquiries
  • Partner with managers on performance management and difficult workplace conversations
  • Build and maintain HR documentation including employee handbooks and SOPs
  • Support payroll changes and audits in coordination with Finance
Qualifications
  • 7 or more years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience building and improving HR processes, not just maintaining them
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience with HRIS platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Compensation And Growth
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Full ownership of the HR function with a clear path to building a team as the company grows
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a company on the forefront of the housing industry
Important Notes

This role is full-time, on-site in our St. George, UT office. Please do not apply if you are unable to work in person.

We are seeking a candidate who can own the HR function in its entirety, including policy development, compliance, employee relations, and HR systems. Candidates looking to fill a specialized role within an existing HR department are encouraged to apply for future openings.
