Security Home Mortgage is a trusted and growing mortgage lender committed to delivering exceptional lending experiences for home buyers, real estate partners, and our community. With a focus on integrity, service, and industry expertise, we are expanding our team and seeking a driven and relationship‑oriented Loan Officer Recruiter to support talent acquisition across our lending operations.
Position Summary:
The Loan Officer Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top mortgage talent primarily loan officers. This individual will manage the full recruitment cycle—from proactive sourcing and outreach to interviewing, coordination, and offer management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at building strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and industry partners. Experience in mortgage banking or financial‑services recruiting is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively source qualified candidates for mortgage‑banking roles through job boards, social platforms, networking, and industry events, while being comfortable with outbound outreach, building relationships, and engaging in consultative conversations.
Maintain and expand a strong pipeline of licensed loan officers and mortgage operations professionals while identifying new business channels and strategic partnerships that drive increased loan volume.
Conduct outreach campaigns to engage passive candidates.
Manage full‑cycle talent acquisition—including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordination, and offer facilitation—while partnering with hiring managers to support seamless onboarding and early‑stage employee success, improving retention and accelerating new‑hire ramp‑up.
Review applications, resumes, and licensing status.
Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate fit and experience.
Partner with the Head of Sales and SVP, Mortgage to forecast hiring needs.
Provide feedback to leadership on market trends, competitor activity, and recruiting opportunities while delivering insights on job‑market trends, compensation benchmarks, and candidate availability.
Ensure recruiting processes comply with federal and state mortgage regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation and candidate records.
Support employer‑branding initiatives and process improvement.
Represent Security Home Mortgage at networking events and industry meetups.
3 to 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in mortgage lending or financial services.
Strong understanding of mortgage roles and industry terminology.
Experience using Linked In Recruiter, Indeed, and similar sourcing platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong multitasking ability.
Familiarity with NMLS licensing requirements preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Paycom.
