We are looking for a senior Production MySQL Database Engineer to own and operate our database layer end to end. This is a solo role and requires someone who is comfortable making architectural decisions, executing them, and supporting the system in production. Our environment runs a multi data center Galera topology with Proxy

SQL in front of thousands of containerized application instances. All data centers are active and serve live tenant traffic. Each tenant has a defined writable location and data locality must be enforced globally while maintaining cross cluster and cross data center replication. This is a net new production deployment of an existing application. You will work closely with infrastructure engineers during design and rollout, then take full ownership of database operations once live.

This role is suited for someone who prefers ownership, autonomy, and solving hard production problems without heavy process or hand holding.
