Automation Engineer The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for the management of system infrastructure and applications. At Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change.
You’ll work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement automation solutions, maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of our infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your Dev Sec Ops skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.
Qualifications- 6+ years of experience with supporting DoD or government agencies
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving automation issues using Ansible or Power Shell
- Knowledge of Agile development
- Knowledge of automation tools including Ansible, version control systems including Git, operating systems including RHEL and Windows, and virtualization including VMware
- Ability to develop tools and processes to drive Dev Sec Ops maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- Ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS up to 25% of the time
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
- Experience with application containerization
- Experience with modeling network configuration in JSON and YAML
- Experience with network automation in Python and Ansible
- Knowledge of networking principles and concepts
- Knowledge of API design and object-oriented principles

- Salary range: $86,900.00 to $ (annualized USD)
