This role oversees demand and supply planning, inventory management, 3PL/warehouse performance, and freight/logistics, working closely with Global Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance teams. The Supply Chain Manager provides hands‑on leadership, driving operational excellence, accurate planning, and strong collaboration with internal and external partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Top5 Priorities
- Service & Availability: Ensure high product availability and on-time delivery performance to customers and distributors in North America, aligned with commercial plans and launches.
- End-to-End Planning: Lead demand and supply planning for the region, balancing service, working capital, and operational capacity in partnership with Global Supply Chain and local stakeholders.
- Warehouse, 3PL & Logistics Performance: Manage relationships and performance of warehouses and 3PL partners, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant storage, handling, and distribution.
- Inventory & Working Capital Management: Optimise inventory levels to minimise excess and obsolescence while protecting service, supporting E&O management and month-end processes with Finance.
- Process Improvement & People Leadership: Strengthen supply chain processes, systems, and ways of working, providing clear leadership, development, and direction for the North America supply chain team.
- Achieve and sustain regional order fill rate of ≥ 95–97% while protecting key launches and promotions.
- Maintain inventory levels within agreed targets (days of cover, stock turns) and reduce E&O as a proportion of inventory over time.
- Meet or exceed OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery targets with key distributors and customers.
- Deliver warehouse and freight costs within budget while improving key operational metrics (picks per hour, pick accuracy, damages, claims).
- Implement and embed agreed process improvements (e.g., S&OP cadence, planning templates, 3PL SOPs) within 6–12 months.
- Support the demand and supply planning cycle for North America, consolidating inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Global Supply Chain to build realistic, aligned plans.
- Translate commercial plans (promotions, launches, phase‑ins/phase‑outs) into operational requirements, including stock build strategies and capacity considerations.
- Oversee inventory levels across North American locations and 3PLs, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to support customers.
- Monitor slow‑moving, excess, and obsolete stock, driving actions to reduce E&O and supporting Finance with provisioning and write‑off decisions.
- Partner with the Inventory Coordinator and Finance to support month‑end inventory close, reconciliations, and variance explanations.
