Overview

Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development

Description

The Senior Director, Business Development is responsible for developing and leading enterprise initiatives through ownership of loyalty programs, portfolio performance, and customer-facing programs that drive retention, revenue expansion, and cross-selling across the enterprise.

This role serves as the enterprise owner of customer programs and relationship insights, with accountability for designing, launching, scaling, and optimizing customer rewards programs. Business development in this role is defined by growing the value of existing customer relationships through program ownership, adoption, utilization, and performance management.

The marketing team, which supports Clyde Companies and its subsidiaries, reports into this role. In this capacity, the role provides enterprise-level frameworks, tools, and standards to enable consistency where appropriate, while empowering subsidiary teams through alignment, shared platforms, and best practices.

This role also provides enterprise oversight of customer incentive programs and the Corporate Travel team as part of the broader loyalty and relationship strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the accountable executive owner for the Clyde Rewards loyalty program, with responsibility for strategy, design, adoption, utilization, and ongoing performance.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of loyalty programs across subsidiaries by partnering with Sales and business leadership to embed programs into customer-facing motions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on program performance, including adoption rates, utilization, retention, and revenue attributable to enterprise programs.
Enterprise Marketing Enablement
  • Oversee the team that provides enterprise frameworks, tools, and standards to support consistent brand, loyalty messaging, and customer experience where appropriate.
  • Ensure marketing efforts support enterprise program adoption and utilization rather than standalone campaigns.
Incentives, Events & Travel
  • Provide enterprise oversight of customer incentive trips and events as part of the loyalty and relationship growth portfolio.
  • Ensure incentive programs reinforce long-term relationship value and program engagement.
  • Oversee the Corporate Travel team, including enterprise travel strategy, preferred vendors, standards, and budget oversight.
  • Track participation, costs, and outcomes associated with incentive and travel programs to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
Vendor & Platform Management
  • Oversee external vendors and platforms supporting Clyde Rewards, marketing and corporate travel.
  • Manage vendor performance, contracts, and budgets.
  • Ensure technology and partners support enterprise scalability and data integrity.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, customer loyalty, marketing, product, or program management disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership of customer loyalty programs including design, launch, scaling and optimization.
  • Proven experience managing programs or product portfolios with accountability for performance, adoption, utilization, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Experience translating customer insights and data into program offerings.
  • Strong background partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and IT and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption.
  • Strong executive presence, with excellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Builder-and-operator mindset with the ability to balance strategic direction and hands on program leadership.
Education And Certificates
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Work Requirements – Light: exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating various types of equipment.
  • Occasional automotive travel to job sites and work locations.
