Water Infrastructure Regional Manager – Western Region
The role reports to the Vice President of Infrastructure Sales West and covers the Western Region across nine states (Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Alaska, and Hawaii). The Regional Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the region’s sales area and associated personnel for all infrastructure water products.
Duties and Responsibilities- Establish sales strategies, goals and objectives for individual territories to achieve region budget objectives.
- Directly supervise, develop, and coach all assigned employees, managing dual reporting relationships if necessary.
- Establish and cultivate high‑impact, strategic relationships with key distributors and end‑users to influence specification, drive regional growth strategies, and maximize long‑term revenue and profitability.
- Align sales operations with Mueller Co.’s larger Strategy Deployment and other organizational objectives.
- Promote new and existing products to the end‑user community to develop favorable specification positioning for Mueller products.
- Consult with sales personnel and key customers to actively resolve service or quality issues to protect customer relationships and business performance.
- Evaluate significant bid opportunities and provide senior management with recommended price strategies to maximize revenue and profits.
- Continuously monitor individual territory progress towards objectives and implement corrective measures where performance falls short of goals.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing sales team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Own regional business planning, forecasting, and execution aligned with Mueller’s enterprise objectives.
- Extensive understanding and expertise in the sales function and Mueller’s market strategies.
- Demonstrated experience working with municipal authorities, utilities, and infrastructure stakeholders, including key distributors.
- Minimum seven (7) years of overall sales or sales‑related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline preferred; significant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability for extensive domestic travel; must reside in the assigned region near a major airport.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Coaching mindset to develop employees.

- Willingness to work in a matrix environment with multiple internal customers.
