Overview
The Regional Project Manager role focuses on leading large-scale construction projects, with heavy emphasis on ground‑up construction for enterprise, consumer goods, and services clients. The position requires managing cross‑functional teams across a large geographic area, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from land acquisition through closeout while tracking project financials, schedules, and deliverables.
Location and TravelRemote – Salt Lake City, UT area. The role requires up to 60% travel within the assigned portfolio.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple concurrent projects including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, large remodels, and new construction.
- Lead ground‑up construction projects through all phases: due diligence, land acquisition, feasibility studies, design development, planning and zoning review, pre‑construction, construction, and closeout.
- Evaluate site feasibility during transaction phases, assessing physical, environmental, regulatory, and financial factors.
- Direct technical and financial analysis to determine project scope, budget parameters, schedule requirements, and risk factors.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to develop construction documents that meet objectives and budget.
- Manage municipal approval processes, regulatory compliance, contractor selection, subcontractor procurement, and value engineering.
- Oversee construction operations, including schedule management, quality control, budget tracking, change order processing, and safety compliance.
- Provide weekly project activity updates to the Team Lead on schedule, risks, budget status, and cash flow using JLL technology platforms.
- Develop risk management plans and guide teams through work authorization processes to prevent impacts in critical environments.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation: charters, due diligence reports, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, funding requests, status reports, and punch lists.
- Manage vendors to ensure compliance with project policies and procedures and ensure project closeout within 90 days of completion, including inspections, commissioning, warranty documentation, and client handover.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
- 10–20 years of project management experience covering all aspects of design and construction.
- Proven experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and web‑based applications.
- Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture/fixtures/equipment specifications, design and space planning concepts, and construction costs and schedules.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Architecture, engineering, or project management certification.
- LEED Certification.
- PMP Certification.
