** The Manager, Assessment Development & Psychometrics, is a member of the Client Services management team, reporting to the Director, Assessment Services Operations. This role provides unified leadership over Alpine’s exam development and psychometric functions, managing a combined team of Psychometricians and Test Development Professionals. The Manager is responsible for the technical quality, validity, and professional rigor of exam content and psychometric processes and deliverables — while working in close partnership with the Manager, Assessment Operations, who oversees content operations, data operations, and Assessment Services project management.

**** Alpine Manager Role Responsibilities
*** Accountable for the team’s budget, resource allocation, workload, tools, and processes to promote quality, productivity, efficiency, and client satisfaction
* Accountable for the hiring, managing, training, and developing of all direct report teams
* Responsible for collaborating with AS leadership to determine resource requirements and assist in recruitment and onboarding
* Responsible for collaborating with AS leadership to set team goals that align with company’s strategic goals, and accountable for achieving those goals
* Responsible for collaborating with other managers to define and implement internal processes, tools, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
* Accountable for implementing new and updated product and services within all teams under management
* Responsible for collaborating with other managers to identify concerns and take corrective action as needed
* Accountable for presenting Alpine’s vision, mission, and strategy clearly and as appropriate to team and clients

** Manager, Assessment Development & Psychometrics Role Specific Responsibilities
*** Accountable for providing oversight across psychometric analyses, item statistics, scaling, equating, standard setting, technical reporting, assessment design, item development, content review, and form construction
* Responsible for facilitating assessment development workshops (e.g., program design, competency analyses, performance based assessment development) and developing workflows and documentation to support operational processes, identify efficiency gains, and expand standard service offerings
* Accountable for the quality, validity, defensibility, and accessibility of all psychometric and assessment development deliverables produced by the team
* Responsible for ensuring psychometric methods and assessment development practices align with professional standards (e.g., Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing), client test blueprints, style guides, and applicable industry requirements
* Responsible for collaborating with the Manager, Assessment Operations to ensure data pipelines, content operations, and workflows support timely, high-quality psychometric and assessment development outcomes
* Accountable for serving as a point of contact for clients on psychometric and assessment development matters, including scopes of work, scope changes, deliverables, and budgets
* Responsible for supporting Business Development and Client Solutions sales efforts, including reviewing proposals and SOWs for capacity alignment and communicating upselling opportunities to Client Solutions
