Utah Valley University is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and data-savvy Project Manager II – Development to help take our fundraising and donor engagement efforts to the next level. In this role, you will track complex projects and strategic initiatives that support donor engagement efforts and fundraising priorities across Institutional Advancement. You will work alongside directors of development, annual giving, planned giving, and prospect development align teams around common goals, ensure projects are executed with excellence, and track metrics to show success and identify ways to further engage our community.

Manage and direct special projects, strategic initiatives, and event coordination, including related approval processes, to enhance engagement with prospective and current donors and support the university's fundraising and philanthropic priorities. Lead large-scale and/or multi-year efforts, such as campaigns and institutional initiatives, by organizing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder responsibilities across Institutional Advancement teams, including Directors of Development, annual giving, planned giving, and prospect development.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, maintain communication with leadership and stakeholders, and ensure projects are executed efficiently and aligned with institutional goals.
Request, analyze, and synthesize fundraising data to develop reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external audiences. Work with confidential donor information and exercise appropriate discretion in determining data use and distribution. Provide analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making and inform fundraising and engagement strategies.
Manage, organize, and maintain fundraising resources and materials that support Development teams, including Directors of Development, annual giving, planned giving, and prospect development. Ensure materials are current, accessible, and aligned with institutional priorities. Plan and facilitate internal training related to Development team initiatives, processes, and fundraising activities. Research emerging best practices and benchmark against peer institutions with similar fundraising goals.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of the goals and evolving priorities of the Division of Institutional Advancement and the Office of Development.
Qualifications / Licenses / CertificationsGraduation with a bachelor's from an accredited institution in a related academic discipline plus one year of professional experience in project management; OR a combination of education and experience totaling five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation with a bachelor's from an accredited institution in a related academic discipline plus three years of professional experience in project management; OR a combination of education and experience totaling eight years.
