Production Manager / Bakery Operations
Location:
Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)
This is an opportunity to lead production operations within a growing commercial bakery focused on quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Production Manager will play a highly visible role influencing plant performance, team development, and long-term operational success within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
RequirementsMust have 5+ years of experience in a commercial bakery environment.
What Our Client Offers- $90,000 – $110,000 Base salary (Negotiable higher for right candidate)

- Lead all bakery production operations including scheduling, workforce management, resource allocation, and daily production execution.
- Manage and develop production supervisors and teams while establishing performance expectations, coaching employees, and supporting training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, SSOP, allergen control, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, waste reduction, labor efficiency, downtime reduction, and operational performance.
- Monitor and improve KPIs including throughput, labor efficiency, downtime/OEE, quality, and safety performance metrics.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales teams to support aligned operational execution and customer expectations.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial bakery production environments, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong experience within bread and/or commercial bakery manufacturing operations required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems including HACCP, SQF, FSMA, GMPs, and sanitation programs.
- Proven leadership, team development, and problem-solving capabilities within fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience acceptable.
