Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Transformation Expert to join the Data Center Power and Control Division. Legrand’s Data, Power & Control (DPC) division is experiencing rapid global growth driven by the expansion of datacenter infrastructure and increasing demand for high-performance power and connectivity solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations Excellence & Modernization, the Senior Transformation Expert will strengthen Legrand’s global manufacturing network by leading hands‑on operational improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, capacity and flow. This role works directly with production and cross‑functional teams to apply lean manufacturing principles, modernize operations, and support manufacturing sites during periods of growth or operational stress—ensuring reliable delivery, efficient operations, and a safe working environment.

This is a remote position with approximately up to 50% travel and offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening DPC’s global operational network.

What Will You Do?
  • Lead cross‑functional operational transformation initiatives that improve manufacturing capacity, productivity, safety, and quality across global sites.
  • Apply lean manufacturing practices directly on the shop floor, including line balancing, waste elimination, layout optimization, and flow improvement.
  • Facilitate structured improvement activities such as Kaizen events, 3P workshops, value stream mapping, and other rapid improvement efforts.
  • Partner with site teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement practical countermeasures that increase throughput without additional cost.
  • Improve material flow, point‑of‑use storage, handling methods, and ergonomics to support safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
  • Provide hands‑on operational support to manufacturing sites during high‑volume demand periods or operational challenges.
  • Identify operational risks early and collaborate with stakeholders to implement mitigation plans that support business continuity.
  • Share insights and best practices from site engagements to help shape transformation priorities and consistent execution across the global manufacturing network.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Manufacturing, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • MBA or master’s degree with a concentration in Operations, Supply Chain, or Industrial Management preferred.

Required:

  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience in project execution‑orientated manufacturing engineering capacity.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to approximately 50%; valid passport required.
  • Strong change management experience with a proven ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Must be a focused listener who can extract key insights and validate understanding.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Independent judgment and initiative are important to plan, prioritize, and execute a diverse workload.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and recommend proactive corrective actions. Demonstrated ability to apply logical and structured thinking to both strategic and operational challenges.

Prefered:

  • Background in Engineering and Operations is highly desirable with significant exposure to factory shop floors.
  • Experience in corporate strategy, supply chain development, or industrial operations is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments is a strong asset.

Compensation & Benefits: $160,000 - $170,000 plus bonus.
