Job Description Summary
Buyer & Material Management role – The Blade Remanufacturing Site Material Leader will plan, purchase, supply and maintain inventory of GEV material to support blade remanufacturing (WDI) and repairs at the Takkion laydown yards in Pawnee and Garden City, KS.
Responsibilities- Order, track, receive and maintain inventory of remanufacturing parts to support on‑time blade repairs and remanufacturing.
- Confirm material procurement ownership of repair material between GE and the contracted repair team.
- Work closely with the GE site leader to achieve remanufacturing factory production plans.
- Assist GE site leader in the repair team’s adherence to Safety / GE Life‑Saving Rules.
- Create and publish weekly part LOB’s.
- Daily interface with repair teams to confirm availability of needed GE parts.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, project management, engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in sourcing, manufacturing, project management and/or supply chain.
- Good understanding of the Renewables Onshore business.
- Strong data‑management skills (Excel, etc.).
- Ability to manage teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work independently to achieve targets and objectives.
- Self‑motivated, driven to take action and define next steps.
- Ability to see around corners and be proactive.
- Strong background in the materials planning process.
- Ability to think critically (look at outside the box solutions).
- Ability to adapt to change.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Understanding of supplier contracts.
- Ability to identify and implement processes improvements and best practices.
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $30.00 USD per hour.
