Overview
What does Momivate do? Momivate wants to raise awareness of what motherhood entails, and how, if given the time and empowerment to fulfill each of these aspects, moms would be better off as individuals, their children would be better off as the rising generation, and hence all of society would be better off in the long run!
What do moms do? Moms R.A.I.S.E. U.P. society!
Programs
- Weekly inspirational meetings called S.M.I.L.E. Gatherings
- R.A.I.S.E Certification to develop valuable skills applicable and desirable in the workforce
- A Revolving Closet to donate outgrown clothes and trade them in for the next size up
- Blogs and tips for motherhood
- Online database for moms in partnership with The Mom Project for managing a career and family
Position Overview
Shape curriculum and uplift mothers! Join Momivate as a Council Mom to develop resources, write blog posts, and foster connections in the Personal Pursuits category.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate weekly with our Social Media team by submitting content for posts
- Create or update curriculum in your RAISE UP category based on feedback from SMILE gatherings
- Suggest and provide resources (books, videos, quotes, memes) for your category’s resource page
- Write blog posts approximately every other month
- Contribute ideas for swag, events, podcast guests, and newsletter content
- “Mominate” one mom per month to the Wall of Honor
- Build a team to support your efforts if needed—collaboration is encouraged!
- Strong organizational skills and writing skills
- Confidence navigating digital tools and collaborating in a remote environment
- Creative and passionate about motherhood
- Dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week to leadership duties and outreach
- Communicate proactively if circumstances impact your ability to fulfill responsibilities
- Flexible, remote volunteer role
- Grow your curriculum development and writing skills
- Connect with a caring community of mothers
- Personal satisfaction from supporting and empowering others
