Marketing generalist

Our mission at Tangens is to make motion graphics easily accessible to consumers. We want people to create sophisticated animations, transitions, and other effects without depending on complicated software like After Effects.

We are the first product in the market to redefine the concepts of timeline, animations, and keyframes. We launched our first iOS app, Short Motion, which lays the groundwork for an easy to use and powerful motion graphics editor without the complexities of keyframes and busy timelines.

We are looking for a marketing generalist who will deal with customer connections, ad management, and brand development. This is an equity only position.

• Lead and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels to drive brand awareness and engagement.
• Manage external partnerships and collaborations to enhance Short Motion’s market presence.
• Plan, launch, and optimize paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Apple Search Ads, Tik Tok, Meta) to efficiently acquire users and maximize ROI.
• Develop and oversee brand storytelling, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
• Conduct market research and customer analysis to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.

• Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys engaging with users and potential partners.
• Strong ability to independently lead a team, manage projects, and define work goals and schedules.
• Skilled in planning, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Apple Search Ads, Tik Tok, Meta), with a strong understanding of performance metrics and cost‑efficient user acquisition.
• Experienced with working in a startup environment and with investors.
• Proficient in social media strategy and trends, understands effective approaches for building an authentic online presence, and can successfully collaborate with marketing partners.
• Enthusiastic about analyzing market dynamics, identifying niche opportunities, and positioning the company for growth.
• Experience with content creation (e.g., making videos and posts).
• Strong social media presence and following.
