Reports to:
Senior Marketing Manager
Aubergine Kitchen is a premium, health-forward fast-casual restaurant group in a high-growth phase. Founded in Orem, Utah in 2014, we’re now at 14 locations across Utah, Nevada, Arizona and Idaho — and expanding. The marketing team is small enough that decisions happen around one table, not a committee; if you want a role where your work is visible and yours, this is the one.
THE ROLEWe’re hiring a Social Media Coordinator to own social from strategy through execution across chen and ery. You own the whole channel, not a slice of it: helping set the direction, building the calendar, shooting the content, writing the copy, publishing it, and talking to the people who respond. No agency in the middle, no brief handed off and approved later.
What we post, and why, is your call. Our audience is 130K on Instagram alone, and the content mix we want is deliberate: signature food moments, ingredient education, kitchen process, community, customer POV, and the people who make the food. You’ll build the calendar that connects social to everything else the marketing team is doing — product launches, seasonal menus, store openings, brand campaigns — and you’ll own whether it lands.
There’s no fixed job description here — the role takes shape around what you’re good at and where the business needs you most, and it grows as we do.
- Strategy & Calendar — Help create the social strategy and tie it to the broader marketing calendar; build and maintain the content calendar across both accounts; set the content mix deliberately and report against it; bring a point of view, because we’d rather hear “this isn’t working, here’s what I’d do instead” than watch it quietly underperform.
- Content Creation — Shoot and edit your own photo and video content (Reels, Stories, carousels), write copy in our brand voice, and work closely with our Brand Designer to develop polished creative assets and campaign visuals that go beyond what can be captured on a phone. You'll own the content creation process from idea to execution, turning a menu launch into a full week of engaging content without needing step-by-step direction.
- Community & Influencers — Manage comments and DMs across both accounts with the same voice and care; source, brief and maintain influencer relationships end to end; find and repost UGC; show up in person for store openings and community moments.
- Trends & Reporting — Track platform changes and judge which trends are actually for us, because not every trend is; report monthly on what worked and what didn’t, with a recommendation attached.
Experience running social for a brand end-to-end (restaurant, food, hospitality, retail or agency backgrounds all work). A portfolio of work you personally shot and edited — we want to see the videos. Comfort on camera and behind it. Strong writing, because brand voice is a discipline and not a vibe. Genuine willingness to handle community management, including the difficult comments. Organized enough to run two accounts on a consistent cadence without dropping days.
Comfort building without an existing playbook. Flexible with an occasional early morning or weekend shoot or event. Travel across our locations, valid driver’s license required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred — relevant experience and a strong reel matter more.
- Competitive salary and bonus based on experience
- camera and editing gear provided
- paid time off
- a small, fast-moving team where your work is visible
- real room to grow as our footprint grows
