Utah Assistive Technology Program VISTA
The Public & School Partnership is an Ameri Corps-funded nonprofit organization based in Logan, Utah at the Utah State University Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice. PSP accomplishes its mission by building partnerships between schools, nonprofit organizations, local institutions, and community members. PSP’s full-time Ameri Corps VISTA members strengthen the capacity of schools and nonprofit organizations across northern Utah by developing sustainable systems, tools, outreach materials, volunteer recruitment resources, grant writing materials, fundraising templates, communication tools, and process guides that staff can use to implement and sustain anti-poverty programs.
MemberDuties :
The Ameri Corps member will strengthen UATP and Agr Ability outreach in Southern Utah by developing community partnerships, referral pathways, outreach materials, and educational resources. The member will identify service gaps and community needs, map disability and agricultural resources, and create sustainable systems for tracking partnerships, referrals, and outreach. They will also develop shared tools and processes that improve collaboration between UATP and Agr Ability, including cross-referral procedures, joint resources, and outreach strategies.
The member will document findings and develop recommendations to help both programs maintain and expand their Southern Utah outreach and community connections beyond the VISTA service period.
