Must be willing to travel up to 2 hours out from Salt Lake City to see patients in their homes.

Licensed Registered Nurses (RN) will partner with pharmacists, clinicians, and business professionals to deliver specialty medications and care in patients’ homes. Under a nurse’s supervision, the RN performs assessment, IV access, education, infusion of injectable medications, and related pharmacy quality control tasks.

• Administer Infusions and Injections: Administer specialty medications via IV, subcutaneous injections, or other prescribed methods; monitor patients during the infusion process for adverse reactions or complications.
• Patient Assessment: Review medical history, allergies, and current medications; evaluate vital signs before, during, and after infusions; identify and document potential risks or side effects.
• Education and Counseling: Explain medication purpose, potential side effects, and expectations; instruct caregivers on managing side effects or emergencies; provide home‑care instructions.
• Patient Monitoring and Follow‑up: Continuously observe patients for immediate reactions; schedule follow‑up calls or visits; adjust care plans based on patient status.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of infusion processes, patients' responses, adverse events, and education provided; ensure compliance with regulations and pharmacy policies.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with the nursing team, pharmacists, and other staff to coordinate treatment plans; communicate issues or concerns to the clinical nurse supervisor.
• Medication Management: Prepare and handle medications safely; verify the correct medication and dosage for each patient.
• Quality Control and Safety: Follow sterile techniques and safety protocols; adhere to infection control guidelines and prevent contamination during preparation or administration.
• Inventory Management: Monitor medication stock levels to maintain adequate supply; coordinate with pharmacy team to manage inventory and ensure availability.
• Support for Specialty Medication Services: Assist with insurance verification or authorization processes related to specialty medications.

• Participate in CSI’s Immunoglobulin Mentorship Program; serve as an IgCN mentor to new or transferring nursing staff.
• Assist with training activities, including review of educational materials, infusion protocols, and patient‑care standards.
• Act as a clinical resource for mentees throughout orientation or transition periods.
• Participate in document review, competency checklists, orientation materials, and required training records.
• Conduct direct observation of clinical practice and assess mentee competency; document mentorship activities and evaluations.

• College degree or certification required or equivalent experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN): 2 years required.
• ER/ICU/Infusion experience: 1 year preferred.
• Experience with PIV lines, ports, and maintaining PICC lines: 1 year required.
• Infusion experience in a hospital or Home Health setting: 1 year preferred.
• Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment is required; background process includes medical and recreational marijuana screening.
