Clinical Research Coordinator

Inner Space Research is a growing outpatient clinical research site specializing in innovative psychiatric and psychedelic-assisted clinical trials for mental health conditions. We conduct Phase II–III CNS studies and are building a collaborative, high-quality research environment grounded in scientific rigor, participant care, and curiosity about the inner landscape of healing.
We are currently seeking either:
- experienced Lead Research Coordinator
- Assistant Research Coordinator with developing experience in clinical research
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Orem, Utah
.
The Research Coordinator will work across all facets of clinical trial operations in a small, fast-growing site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and close involvement with studies from startup through close-out.
Depending on experience, the role may be hired at either the Lead or Assistant level.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities (may include)
- Study startup activities (regulatory submissions, site initiation prep, document organization)
- Regulatory maintenance (IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, TMF/eReg upkeep)
- Participant recruitment and pre-screening (phone screens, chart review, coordination with PI)
- Scheduling and coordinating study visits
- Source documentation and eSource/eReg workflows
- Data entry and query resolution
- Coordination with sponsors, CROs, and monitors
- Support for audits, monitoring visits, and inspections
General study operations in a small outpatient psychiatry research site
Lead Research Coordinator (preferred):
- ~5+ years of clinical research experience
- Prior experience as a lead or senior coordinator
- Ideally ≥2 years of psychiatry or CNS clinical trials experience
- Strong understanding of GCP, regulatory processes, and site operations
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff
Assistant Research Coordinator:
- Some prior clinical research experience (site, academic, or CRO)
- Familiarity with basic research workflows and GCP
- Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn
- Interest in psychiatric and psychedelic clinical research
