Be the Calm in the Rush.

Bonrue Bakery

Who We Are

Bonrue Bakery is a fast-growing, chef-founded brand built on speed, precision, and soul. From our laminated pastries to our savory bakes, we serve high-volume guests without compromising craft. Our teams thrive on pace, pride, and positivity—and our Shift Leads are the steady hands that keep it all in sync.

If you’re a natural problem-solver, calm under pressure, and passionate about hospitality and team leadership, you might be the perfect fit.

The Role

As a Shift Lead, you’ll step into a hybrid role: part team member, part coach, part operator. You’ll run service alongside your team while overseeing shift flow, supporting team communication, and upholding Bonrue’s brand standards in every interaction-from the pastry case to the cash drawer.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead store operations during opening, mid, or closing shifts
  • Oversee all cleanliness including but not limited to dishwashing, sweeping, moping, etc.
  • Support and direct FOH and BOH teams in real time
  • Monitor product quality, speed of service, and guest experience
  • Delegate tasks during service and keep team energy high
  • Perform accurate cash drawer counts and support end-of-day financial procedures
  • Execute shift checklists, oversee cleanliness, and ensure prep completion
  • Assist in training new team members and reinforcing brand expectations
  • Communicate wins, challenges, and team needs to the General Manager
  • Handle shift-level decisions including guest recovery, break coverage, and role adjustments
  • Maintain pace, presence, and professionalism from start to finish
Who You Are

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience
  • Are confident leading a team and giving direction under pressure
  • Know how to keep things clean, calm, and moving-no matter how busy
  • Are detail-oriented and comfortable handling money and shift reports
  • Love working with people and setting a positive tone
  • Are punctual, reliable, and thrive in fast-paced settings
  • Hold or are willing to obtain a Utah Serv Safe certificate
  • Are at least 18 years old and available for early mornings, weekends, or holidays
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly pay + pooled tips
  • Leadership coaching and career development opportunities
  • Cross-training in concierge, savory, bakery, and barista roles
  • Flexible scheduling
  • A team culture rooted in trust, pace, and hospitality
  • The chance to grow with one of Utah’s fastest-growing bakery brands
