• Serve as the face of the company, delivering exceptional customer service while customers scan, weigh, bag, and pay for their items.
• Assist customers with scanning, weighing, bagging, and payment, ensuring a smooth process.
• Serve multiple customers simultaneously and anticipate issues before they occur.
• Answer questions and assist with any issues (e.g., large items, scanning or weighing problems, payment issues).
• Monitor scanning activity to ensure accuracy.
• Encourage Sprouts customers to use self‑checkout lanes, especially when lines are forming in other lanes.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and events, and provide product location guidance throughout the store.
• Keep self‑checkout areas clean, orderly, and display. Execute any related duties as assigned.
• Thank customers as they leave the self‑checkout area.

• Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales; 1–2 years of cashier experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers.
• Capable of operating front‑end equipment (register, calculator, scanner).
• Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and thrive in a team environment.
• Able to lift, carry, and weigh product horizontally and vertically up to 30 lbs. for distances up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills.
