Territory Sales Representative – Western U.S.
Established manufacturer of can liners, industrial bags, and flexible packaging products is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow a Western U.S. sales territory. This position offers an established customer base, an excellent base salary, monthly commission program, company‑paid healthcare, and the opportunity to represent a manufacturer known for its commitment to distributors, customer service, and product quality.
The company sells primarily through distribution supporting janitorial, food service, healthcare, grocery, industrial, institutional, municipal, and commercial applications.
The territory for the role includes Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Wyoming. The level of travel will depend on the employee's location.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow an established territory by strengthening existing distributor relationships while developing new business opportunities.
- Sell can liners, industrial bags, healthcare bags, drum liners, contractor bags, food storage bags, and related flexible packaging products.
- Partner with distributor sales representatives through joint sales calls, customer presentations, product demonstrations, and training programs.
- Support distributors by recommending product solutions based on end‑user applications and performance requirements.
- Develop new distributor partnerships and identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts.
- Prepare pricing proposals, quotations, contracts, and sales presentations.
- Work closely with customer service and manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain territory forecasts, sales activity, and account information.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to support distributors and end users.
- Experience selling can liners, plastic bags, flexible packaging, industrial packaging, or related plastic products.
- Demonstrated success developing new business while managing existing customer relationships.
- Experience conducting distributor training, joint sales calls, and product presentations.
- Experience selling through distribution within the janitorial and sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel throughout the Western United States.
