Enter award‑winning Uintah County Sheriff’s Department as a non‑sworn, entry‑level civilian controller. Oversee daily operations of the county jail, ensuring inmate compliance with policies, maintaining security and discipline, monitoring the safety of Correction Officers, and controlling facility access for inmates, visitors, and secure areas using electronic doors and communication systems. Handle the processing of inmates and visitors.
Responsibilities- Oversee inmate activities to ensure policy compliance.
- Maintain security and discipline within the facility.
- Monitor the safety of Correction Officers.
- Control facility access (inmates, visitors, and secure areas) via electronic doors and communication systems.
- Process inmates and visitors.
- High school diploma or GED, plus relevant experience or demonstrated aptitude for the duties described. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
- Availability for rotating shifts and on‑call duty.
- Successful completion of a background check, including an NCIC review, confirming no significant criminal history.
