- Mature, dependable person for part-time night security
- 3 shifts per week
- 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday's hours could be different
- Maintain safety and security of shopping center after hours
- Maintain a clean and clutter‑free work environment
- Ensure trash and debris are continually removed from the property
- Verify admittance of after‑hours workers
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to appropriate manager so that repairs may be addressed
- Help contribute to center's safety through loss prevention
- Assist in recognizing and correcting potential safety hazards and security problems
- Remain watchful and report suspicious activity to ensure safety of center
- Ensure personal safety by following associate safety standards
- Adhere to policies and procedures for the center
- Stay informed and capable of performing necessary procedures in case of an emergency
- Manage time effectively to accomplish all desired tasks and duties.
- Adhere to all attendance policies, including punctuality for all shifts and meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in all situations involving tenants, associates, etc.
- Demonstrate respect, integrity and sound judgment during each interaction with tenants and associates.
- Occasionally perform light cleaning of center's merchandising units.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, reasonable color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Qualifications- Prior experience related to the duties is helpful but not required.
- Must be neat, professional and well‑groomed.
- Must possess good organization/time management skills.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Able to relate well to tenants and other workers.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Able to learn quickly.
- Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
- Maintain an attitude focused on being courteous but firm in security of center.
- Personally demonstrate a commitment to tenants and others by responding in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety and security of tenants, associates, the center.
- Stay aware of safety requirements and work in an accident‑free manner.
