Job Summary
:
Under the direction of the shop foreman, the mobile lubrication engineer is responsible for fueling, oil changes, and lubrication of equipment, as well as assisting with seasonal maintenance tasks such as brake replacements. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the team.
- Fueling, changing oil, and lubrication of equipment at all job sites.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Responsible for record keeping.
- Coordinate and communicate needed repairs on field equipment.
- Assist in the shops performing brake replacements and other maintenance during winter months.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job.
- Always ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience with lubrication and oil changes of equipment and welding preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a current Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with a hazardous materials endorsement, DOT Medical Card, and a clean and insurable driving record.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a valid MSHA certificate, forklift training, and Manlift Operator Certification.
- Sitting: 10% of time.
- Standing: 40% - 50% of the time.
- Climbing: 10%-15% of the time. This includes shop ladders, equipment access ladders, and climbing under equipment for maintenance.
- Driving: 30%-50% of the time.
- Weight Lifted:
Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Heavy items may be required to lift above one's head and maneuvered while standing, sitting, and laying down. - Physical Movement:
May frequently be required to walk and work over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab, drag, climb and hold objects. Ability to get in and out of heavy equipment and perform basic operation. - Working Conditions:
80% of time will be spent working in the pit and field working environment.
