We are seeking a skilled, full-time Automation Control / Low Voltage Technician to join our team on-site in Orem, UT and service the greater Utah and Salt Lake Valleys. In this hands-on role, you will install, wire, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide variety of low-voltage systems for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and excited to work on diverse, high-end projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and wire low voltage systems including audio, video, access control, security cameras, lighting, and smart home controls.
- Perform full equipment installation, setup, configuration, and system integration.
- Troubleshoot, test, diagnose, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
- Previous experience in low voltage, AV, home automation, or related electrical fields (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, electrical engineering concepts, and low-voltage installation.
- Proficiency with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and operating relevant equipment.
- Familiarity with audio, video, access control, security cameras, lighting, and smart home systems is a big plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical instructions.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safety standards.
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving technology trends.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in electrical work or home automation preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
