Part‑time entry‑level HVAC apprenticeship, averaging 20–30 hours per week, 7:00 AM–2:00 PM variable hours, 3–5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
Orientation and basic training last 30 days and are paid at $20 / hour. Successful completion leads to pay of $25 / hour while the apprentice remains part‑time. After additional 6–9 months of training the apprentice may advance toward a full‑time, salaried position.
Do You Have Prior Experience In The HVAC Industry?Experience is preferred, but the position is open to individuals who can demonstrate reliability and punctuality during the orientation period.
Job DetailsAssist the owner and crew of a small HVAC company installing heating and cooling systems in occupied residential buildings. Duties include site preparation, material handling, aid in installation, and performing simple mechanical tasks under supervision.
Responsibilities- Good listening, organizational, and people skills.
- A fast‑paced, roaming job; typically 2–3 day projects at different locations.
- Good physical condition; able to lift a minimum of 50 lb and climb ladders and stairs.
- Flexible and able to crawl into tight spaces as needed.
- Basic ability to read a tape measure and perform tasks with 1⁄8‑inch accuracy.
- Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, saws) and power tools (cordless drills, skill‑saws).
Pay: $25 / hour after 30‑day orientation ($20 / hour during orientation). Apprentices must demonstrate willingness to work conscientiously and meet time‑keeping expectations.
