Job Summary / Basic FunctionPerforms preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Reads, understands and interprets blueprints, drawings, floor plans, schedules and manufacturer operating and/or maintenance specifications as they relate to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and special equipment. May assist other maintenance personnel—including electricians, plumbers, maintenance technicians, and others—in completing work tasks. Responds to requests for routine and emergency maintenance and service from building occupants.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Utah Driver License is a condition of employment.
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires ability to bend, lift, reach, and manipulate objects of various sizes and shapes. Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and in the presence of noise and potential hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, scaffolding, and high temperatures.
