Maintenance Technician – Direct Placement

Are you an experienced mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing team supporting a large fleet of forklifts and material handling equipment across two facilities. This is a direct placement opportunity, meaning you'll be hired directly by the company and become an integral part of their maintenance team from day one.

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping a diverse fleet of equipment operating safely and efficiently. You'll work in warehouse and production environments, maintaining:

• Turret trucks
• Sit-down forklifts
• Electric and manual pallet jacks
• Scissor lifts and other material handling equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electric and propane-powered forklifts
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, battery maintenance, tire replacement, and fluid checks
• Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns
• Accurately document maintenance activities using MaintainX CMMS
• Ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience repairing forklifts or similar heavy/small industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Experience with both electric (24V-48V) and internal combustion forklifts
• Familiarity with leading equipment brands such as Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Yale, CAT, and others
• Ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic tools
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in active industrial environments

• Initial training will be conducted on day shift
• After training, candidates should be open to transitioning to a full-time second shift schedule
