The Student Life Coordinator is responsible for supporting the quality, consistency, structure, and culture of the residential student experience  Student Life Coordinator ensures that students have a safe, therapeutic, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and well-organized residential environment where daily routines, activities, life skills, recreation, and community expectations are consistently carried out in a manner integral to the values and culture of Telos.

The Student Life Coordinator works closely with the Residential Director, Staff Manager, Shift Supervisors, Clinical, Nursing, Education, Life Skills Coach, and other departments to ensure that residential programming supports student treatment goals while maintaining appropriate structure, engagement, accountability, and opportunities for growth.

This position serves as a point of coordination for the day-to-day student experience both within and outside the Residential Department. The role maintains an active presence within the residential program and is accountable for identifying concerns related to student engagement, programming, routines, culture, environment, and execution before they negatively impact student care or program stability.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supporting a residential culture of safety, accountability, belonging, growth, healthy relationships, and meaningful student engagement consistent with Telos values and cultural pillars
  • Establishing clear communication regarding student programming, routines, activities, expectations, restrictions, and other student-life needs between residential leadership, Shift Supervisors, direct-care employees, and collaborating departments
  • Ensuring relevant student restrictions, safety considerations, behavioral plans, and eligibility requirements are appropriately reviewed and incorporated into activities, outings, and tours
  • Creating, maintaining, and proactively managing the residential student-life calendar, including evening programming, weekend activities, recreation, outings, special events, holidays, life-skills opportunities, and other residential programming
  • Ensuring scheduled activities, routines, and residential programming are consistently carried out as intended and identifying recurring barriers that prevent successful execution
  • Planning activities and outings in advance and ensuring necessary transportation, reservations, supplies, student eligibility, restrictions, approvals, staffing requirements, and other operational needs are identified prior to implementation
  • Coordinating with the Staff Manager regarding staffing needs associated with outings, activities, special events, and changes to the residential schedule
  • Coordinating and conducting tours of residential facilities and student-life programming for parents, guardians, prospective students, prospective families, executive directors, referral partners, visitors, and other approved guests
  • Preparing for tours by ensuring residential environments, common areas, activity spaces, and relevant materials are clean, organized, presentable, and consistent with Telos standards
  • Maintaining regular presence on the residential floor to observe student engagement, residential culture, environmental conditions, program execution, and the effectiveness of established routines and activities
  • Supporting Shift Supervisors in understanding and executing student-life expectations, including daily routines, activities, chores, hygiene, meals, recreation, student responsibilities, and other residential expectations
