Requirements

  • You must be 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
  • Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
  • Be able to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
  • Exist get navigational skills to handle adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Responsibilities
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver products by car to customers, including pizza, flyers, and door hangers.
Training
  • Orientation and training provided on the job.
  • Develop communication skills to handle verbal and written instructions.
  • Learn to communicate with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & Skills
  • Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Use motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigate within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing – Most tasks are performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile, linoleum, and food process areas. Work surfaces height ranges from 36” to 48”.
  • Walking – Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel must travel between the store and vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer location.
  • Sitting – Paperwork is normally completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting – Bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs (3’ x 1.5’) are a regular occurrence. Items are unloaded with a hand truck and stacked onto shelves up to 72”.
  • Carrying – Large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), and trays of dough (12 lb each) are carried over short distances during assembly and delivery.
  • Pushing/Pulling – Trays on dollies (~24”–30”) require a force of up to 7.5 lbs to push. Trays may also be pulled.
  • Climbing – Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders; delivery may require five or more flights of stairs.
  • Stooping/Bending – Forward bending at the waist for pizza assembly and stocking, lasting 30–45 seconds per occurrence.
  • Crouching/Squatting – Occasional use to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Driving – Deliver products within a designated area, making multiple deliveries per shift.
  • Hand Tasks – Continuous eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of hand tools such as pizza peel, cutter, and rolling cutter.
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids – Utilization of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and peel.
Work Conditions
  • Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during outside tasks.
  • In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F or higher in work areas, with sudden changes in temperature both indoors and outdoors.
  • Exposure to fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
  • Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
  • Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F or higher.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
  • Additional deliver‑related weather exposure during driving and couponing.
Sensing and Temperament
  • Good hearing for telephone use; near and mid‑range vision for most tasks.
  • Depth perception and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.
  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, handle stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments.
