What

You Do
  • Perform comprehensive actuarial services to MMA’s multiemployer health funds
  • Perform analysis and interpretation of medical, pharmacy drug and ancillary health care data
  • Perform, manage and review budget forecasts and financial projections
  • Pricing and modeling of plan design changes utilizing experience and/or manual rating techniques
  • Responsible for vendor relationships, negotiations and renewal analysis
  • Help prepare and coordinate RFPs and analysis of vendor proposals
  • Assist lead consultants with preparation for board meetings, trade shows and potentially finalist presentations
  • When necessary, aid in requesting/creating open enrollment materials, submission requests to marketing communication team for the benefit guide, etc.
  • Conduct analysis and various reports to describe results
  • Work on ad‑hoc projects, benefit guides, and reports
  • Collaborate with MMA’s shared services (i.e. population health, Springbuk, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expertise within multiemployer space
  • Other duties as assigned
Your

Education and Experience Required
  • Life and Health License must be obtained within 75 days of the first day of New Hire Onboarding
  • Understanding and skilled at all basic computer and technology tools
  • Demonstrated presentation skills for effective communication both verbal and written with the ability to influence external and internal clients.
  • Excellent administrative skills, especially in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Extremely detailed and organized
  • Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
  • Analytical – technically oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and follow‑through
  • Self‑confident

The applicable base salary range for this role is $63,200 to $117,900. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
