ADVANCED MATH TEACHER

This is an on-site Tutor role located at Sylvan Learning Center of Orland/Tinley Park in Tinley Park, IL. The Tutor will be responsible for delivering personalized educational instruction in a one‑on‑one or small group setting. Daily tasks include instructing students in various subjects, assessing progress, and providing feedback to students and center staff. Collaboration with colleagues and adherence to Sylvan’s educational methodologies are essential for this role.

• Proficiency in subject areas specifically advanced Math, Reading, and Homework Support.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, and assessment of student learning.
• Ability to engage and motivate students to maximize their potential.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred experience in tutoring or teaching and familiarity with educational best practices.
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification is preferred but not necessary.
• Commitment to work on‑site at the Tinley Park, IL location.
