Monday thru Friday Shift
Provide comprehensive patient care, including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient teaching. Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems. Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.
Minimum Education• Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education. Specify Degree(s):
Ophthalmic Technician Program.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience. Preferred:
At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience.
None upon hire. After graduation from an ophthalmic technician education course, staff in the Ophthalmic Assistant position are required to become certified ophthalmic assistants within the first year of employment.
CompensationPay Range: $21.54 - $28.14 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
