What you bring to the table:
  • Education:

    Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or equivalent combination of education and experience required (MSN preferred).
  • Nursing experience: 3+ years of floor nursing.
  • Management experience: 5+ years in long‑term care. Preferable in a Director of Nursing (DON) or an Assisted Director of Nursing (ADON).
  • Licensure: RN license in good standing in Illinois.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing quality improvement programs.
  • Ability to translate the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department into actionable items.
  • Knowledgeable in state reporting and the ability to develop and implement plan of corrections.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all nursing staff.
  • Oversee department budgets.
  • Maintain high standards of care for all residents.
  • Act as a liaison between doctors, patients, and family members about resident’s plan of care.
  • Collaborate on recruitment and training of new nursing staff.
  • Ensure proper training for staff on department policies.
  • Implement quality improvement programs to help deliver the highest possible levels of care in our community.
