Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. As part of this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations by managing bookkeeping tasks, processing invoices, and reconciling bank statements. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is proficient in accounting software.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.

- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

- Process invoices and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

- Handle general ledger entries and maintain organized accounting records.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting.

- Utilize Quick Books and Excel to analyze data and create financial spreadsheets.

- Collaborate with the store controller to support daily accounting operations.

- Maintain attention to detail while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all accounting activities.

- Assist with billing and other financial tasks as needed.

Requirements

- Proven experience using Quick Books, including Enterprise versions.

- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and basic formulas.

- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

- Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and journal entries.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook for communication and documentation.

- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
