Accounting Manager

The Staff Accountant supports the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a key part in the day‑to‑day financial operations of the agency. Bridge the gap between accounting and our media teams to ensure client billing is seamless and media spends are accounted for. If you don’t have direct media experience, experience handling deferred revenue and prepayments will be advantageous.

• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with client invoicing and media spend reconciliation to ensure accurate billing cycles
• Manage expense tracking and credit card reconciliations for agency wide software and media platforms
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
• Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business needs
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency (VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and Data Visualization)
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced agency environment
• Agency experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2–4 years of accounting experience
• CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA or CMA preferred
• Agency experience highly preferred
