Senior Accountant

Our client is a well-established organization within the transportation and logistics sector, known for delivering reliable and coordinated service solutions across a variety of markets. Currently, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team.

$30/hr - $45/hr

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the month‑end close process, preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, performing cash reporting, and supporting overall financial accuracy. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

• Lead and execute the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and resolve complex balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze variances and provide explanations for key financial statement components.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support audit requests and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with business partners to support operational and financial decision‑making.

• 4+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on month‑end close.
• Advanced understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Strong cash reporting and cash management experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

• Experience in a corporate accounting department or mid‑to‑large‑scale organization.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Black Line, Power BI).

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
