Junior Accountant, Public Accounting

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client accounting functions within a public accounting environment.

This role operates in a hybrid accounting firm setting and focuses on hands‑on accounting execution, tax support, and financial organization across multiple client accounts. The position is important to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting senior accounting staff, and helping ensure smooth tax season operations. This is an execution‑focused role designed for someone looking to grow within public accounting while developing stronger tax and client‑service experience.

• Prepare and organize financial records, reconciliations, and supporting tax documentation
• Assist with preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Maintain client bookkeeping and accounting records using Quick Books
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes across multiple client accounts
• Input and reconcile financial data accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with clients regarding missing documentation and routine accounting requests
• Assist senior accountants with tax review preparation and compliance support
• Maintain organized digital files and accounting records within firm systems
• Support internal administrative and accounting workflow processes as needed

• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or tax support experience preferred
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software required
• Exposure to public accounting or tax preparation environments preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines during busy tax periods
• Experience with Ultra Tax, Drake, or Canopy is a plus but not required
• Candidates seeking fully remote‑only roles without collaboration availability may not be a fit

• Salary: $60,000 – $110,000, based on experience
• Hybrid schedule (2 days onsite in the Orlando area)
