Job Overview
We are hiring for a senior accountant in the executive management team. This position manages the operation of the accounting department by providing leadership, guidance, and support, as well as a wide variety of complex professional accounting duties in the analysis, preparation, and maintenance of financial records. The accountant will lead other accounting personnel and report for Mass Markets programs and business activities in accordance with standard policies, legal requirements, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
- Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
- Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed.
- Perform month‑end closing and reconciliation.
- Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
- Perform bank reconciliation.
- Support department peers as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 1‑2 years of accrual‑basis accounting experience including accounts receivable, journal entries, month‑end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects.
- Detail‑oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, organized, able to prioritize; work independently.
