Accounts Payable Specialist - Hollywood, FL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform standardized accounting routines to process accounts payable; obtain payment authorization, generate checks, and process for payment.
- Check completeness and mathematical accuracy of repetitive accounting documents; make simple adjustments with supervisor concurrence.
- Post accounting information where identification and location of postings are clearly indicated; match invoices received to purchase, requisition, and receiving documentation; check accuracy; apply or verify coding; post; and schedule payment per standard procedures.
- Type and/or file vouchers, invoices, or similar items, if time permits or required by circumstances.
- Identify discrepancies and determine alternative courses of action.
- Assemble, analyze, and audit various accounts (e.g., make standard reconciliations); verify payment.
- Develop contacts outside immediate work area for obtaining, verifying, or providing information concerning accounting documents; respond to vendor inquiries regarding status of accounts payable; investigate and resolve questions and escalates complex matters.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school.
- Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language/Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. - Computer

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). - Reasoning
