This Staff Accountant position supports payroll accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and related accounting activities. The role will help ensure payroll accuracy, support compliance requirements, and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities- Support payroll processing and payroll accounting
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations
- Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain employee payroll, benefits, commissions, and PTO records
- Partner with HR on payroll-related employee changes
- Support audits, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Assist with expense reporting and labor analytics
- Identify and implement process improvements
- 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably with payroll exposure
- Experience with payroll systems preferred
- Understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and commissions
- Detail-oriented with a process improvement mindset
