Senior Accounting Processor Job Description
The Senior Accounting Processor plays a key role in the Property Accounting department by ensuring supplier invoices for resupply warehouse purchase orders are processed accurately, on time, and within terms. This position focuses on capturing all available cash discounts, preventing vendor credit holds, and supporting accurate financial reporting through invoice processing, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
Responsibilities- Review and analyze invoices for products purchased for the Resupply Warehouse, ensuring that invoiced products are received and that quantities and prices match purchase orders using a three‑way invoice match process.
- Process accurately matched invoices for payment in Oracle within vendor payment terms.
- Research and resolve invoice quantity and price discrepancies in a timely manner by working closely with vendors, the Resupply Warehouse, and internal personnel.
- Ensure all available vendor discounts are captured and assist suppliers who request timelier payments by recommending options related to discount terms and electronic invoicing.
- Support vendors whose invoices are paid by other departments by following through to complete resolution and helping reduce the risk of vendor credit holds.
- Track and report work performance for invoices and master file transactions processed, including tracking and reporting on the age of invoices.
- Research and resolve all outstanding invoices that are more than 45 days old and pursue invoice credits as identified.
- Prepare all processed invoices for archiving within the imaging system, OnBase.
- Complete all assigned general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Prepare month‑end journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Provide backup support to the smallwares inventory system specialist as needed.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Experience with accounts payable processes.
- Experience with accounts receivable processes.
- Strong customer service skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Effective analytical and research abilities for resolving invoice and account issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and promote a positive team and customer service attitude.
Skills & Qualifications
- A two‑ or four‑year college degree in accounting is preferred.
- Hands‑on accounts payable experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle accounting systems is a plus.
- Experience with OnBase imaging systems is a plus.
- Experience with Discoverer or similar reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills beyond basic functionality, including pivot tables and lookups.
This role operates in a professional, very casual culture within a modern and attractive office building. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with a hybrid work arrangement available after approximately 90 days. The position involves working with Oracle accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and the OnBase imaging system in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment that offers significant room for growth.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
