Must reside in or be within commuting distance of the Greater Orlando area
About the Opportunity

The Project Accountant will play a key role in managing project financials while partnering closely with Accounting, Operations, and Project Management teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting activities from setup through closeout
• Review project costs, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor documentation
• Track budgets, commitments, and cost activity to ensure financial accuracy
• Process customer billings and support project revenue tracking
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
• Review lien waivers and ensure compliance with project documentation requirements
• Partner with Project Managers to resolve billing, cost, and documentation issues
• Assist with cash flow tracking, reporting, and project performance analysis
• Support audits and ad hoc accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Construction, contractor, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with lien waivers required
• Experience with job costing, project billing, or subcontractor payments preferred
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and general accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP or project accounting systems preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
