Senior Accounting Manager, Hospitality Company – growth and great benefits

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our high‑performing team. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance, possessing the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and drive continuous improvement in our accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of our company's accounting operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Act as the senior reviewer of all financial statements and reports, providing detailed analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
  • Provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
  • Provide operational support, partnering closely with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment of financial and operational strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
  • Proven experience in managing own accounting, leading month‑end close, acting as a senior reviewer, leading annual budget, and providing insights into financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams, drive performance, and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant IT systems.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, with a track record of driving enhancements in accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation.
  • Experience in partnering with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, IT, and other key stakeholders to align financial and operational strategies.
