Key Responsibilities for the Net Revenue Accountant:
- Prepare monthly revenue close packages, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Analyze net revenue trends, patient accounts receivable, and financial variances
- Maintain bad debt and contractual reserve models and calculations
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting of revenue and AR balances
- Prepare monthly forecasts and assist with annual budgeting processes
- Partner with Revenue Cycle and Finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and financial results
- Prepare audit work papers and support internal and external audits
- Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance accounting efficiencies
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
Qualifications for the Net Revenue Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Healthcare accounting or hospital net revenue experience strongly preferred
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Experience with patient accounts receivable, revenue recognition, or reimbursement accounting preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs
