Position Summary
The CFO Advisory Director leads the execution and quality assurance of accounting advisory engagements. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting positions, managing delivery timelines, and identifying risks to ensure high-quality client outcomes. The Director demonstrates strong business judgment and strategic thinking while effectively communicating complex accounting issues to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Additionally, this position contributes to business growth through technical expertise, leadership, and consistent delivery against client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to team members, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
- Deliver ongoing performance feedback and act as a Career Advisor.
- Collaborate on technical accounting positions and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks in client service delivery.
- Deliver timely, high-quality, and risk-based accounting advisory services.
- Translate complex accounting concepts for both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Provide practical guidance to support and defend critical business decisions.
- Contribute to business development efforts through technical excellence and client relationships.
- Supervise engagement teams and ensure alignment with deadlines, objectives, and quality standards.
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptability in evolving and dynamic work environments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to delegate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Extensive client service experience in accounting advisory or related fields.
- Executive-level corporate finance experience and deep understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required). - Certifications/Licensure:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- 10+ years of professional experience in public accounting or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Pay range: $179,500 to $280,500.
