Cost Accountant

Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 + Bonus + Equity
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Candidates must reside in or be within commuting distance of the Greater Orlando area.

An established and fast-growing medical device manufacturer is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team. This position plays an integral role in supporting manufacturing operations by delivering accurate cost analysis, maintaining inventory accounting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Maintain standard costing, product costing, and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations
• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and cost accounting analyses
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory, manufacturing costs, and cost of goods sold
• Analyze labor, material, overhead, and production variances while providing recommendations to improve profitability
• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance cost visibility and operational efficiency
• Assist with annual standard cost updates, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Support inventory cycle counts, physical inventory activities, and audit requirements
• Evaluate manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
• Prepare financial reports, management reporting, and ad hoc analyses for leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Three to five years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost of goods sold
• Experience supporting month-end close, inventory reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
• CPA or CMA designation is preferred but not required
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or another highly regulated industry is an advantage
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
