Job Summary
A respected legal services organization in Orlando, FL is seeking a Legal Accountant to join its accounting team in a direct hire, onsite role. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys detailed financial work, legal billing, reconciliations, and supporting a professional services environment. The Legal Accountant will report directly to the Controller and support daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing, trust accounting, payroll support, and financial reporting.
This is an individual contributor role with strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the firm's financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. - Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities.
- Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and payment activity accurately and on time.
- Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and aging reports while partnering with attorneys and internal teams to resolve billing matters.
- Coordinate legal billing functions, including prebills, client invoices, billing adjustments, and compliance with client billing guidelines.
- Manage client trust and IOLTA accounting, including transaction accuracy, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with payroll administration, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.

- Salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 per year.
