Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate has experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, and Quick Books Online, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing accurate work, and is looking for an opportunity to grow within a successful and expanding organization.

Compensation

Starting Rate: $22.00 per hour and up.

Candidates whose experience was primarily obtained outside of the United States or whose experience cannot be readily evaluated against U.S. accounting practices may be offered a starting rate at the lower end of the pay range, with opportunities for future wage review based on demonstrated performance.

Compensation is based on relevant, job-related experience, technical skills, and the company's evaluation of the candidate's qualifications.

Position Summary

Support the Accounting Department by processing daily accounting transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Essential Duties
  • Process Bills in Quick Books Online.
  • Prepare Journal Entries in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Perform bank and vendor reconciliations.
  • Process vendor payments.
  • Record intercompany transactions.
  • Monitor company expenses.
  • Manage petty cash and Cash on Hand audits.
  • Assist with month-end close.
  • Support monthly inventory counts.
  • Provide accounting and administrative support.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance in accordance with the standard schedule.
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial and company information.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams, management, and external vendors.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Apply accounting principles and analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support broader accounting and business operations.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of proven accounting experience- preferred.
  • Required Quick Books Online experience.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with AP, reconciliations, Journal Entries and month-end close.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, calculator, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move office materials and files weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information accurately, in person and by phone/email.
Working Conditions
  • Standard indoor office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Primarily sedentary work performed at a desk using a computer.
  • Occasional additional hours may be required during month-end, quarter-end, or year-end close.
